As a painter, when do you really become who you are and share who you are on canvas? For the past five years I have been really trying to identify my style. But really my style was there the whole time, without the courage or confidence to let it out. Now after years and years of "practicing" painting in a style that was not me, I am rethinking the process. I am letting my style out to paint for the happiness of color and shape. "Nap Time" is the first one. What a release! In my own words: "Sometimes I feel the need to do something realistic, then I get over it."
